Mark Gee is a talented keyboardist whose musical journey began as a stellar jazz saxophonist. Transitioning to keyboards in the early 1990s, he quickly established himself as a master of the instrument. Widely recognized for his exceptional skill, Mark has made notable contributions to renowned ensembles, including the Mario Flores Band, DJ Slate, Rocket 88, and the Columbia Jazz Band, among others.
His versatility across diverse musical genres showcases his exceptional talent and adaptability. Drawing from various influences, Mark's unique approach enriches the sound of the Rhythm and Blues Project, bringing a dynamic flair to their performances. With a deep passion for music and a commitment to excellence, Mark continues to captivate audiences with his innovative keyboard work.

Veteran percussionist Mike "Vern" Miller serves as the rhythmic cornerstone of The Rhythm and Blues Project, infusing each performance with his unparalleled expertise and passion. His rich background, honed through his tenure with esteemed ensembles such as the Mario Flores Band and the Columbia Jazz Band, allows Vern to bring a distinctive flair to every beat. His deep understanding of rhythm and dedication to his craft elevate the band's sound, making him an essential force in their dynamic performances.

Brian Jirka is a seasoned multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter with deep roots in the California music scene. Originally from the Motherlode area, Brian made a name for himself as the bassist for successful local original bands such as Bison and Last Caravan. In 2000, he moved to Southern California, where he had the opportunity to collaborate with top musicians and bands in the vibrant Los Angeles music scene.
During his time in Southern California, Brian expanded his musical horizons, delving into singing and songwriting. This artistic exploration culminated in releasing his original album in 2011, showcasing his unique voice and songwriting talent.
Returning to Murphys, California, Brian has continues to be an integral part of the local and regional music community. He has taken on multiple creative projects, including The Brian Jirka Project, which is his one-man band focused on original compositions. Additionally, he is a bassist and vocalist for Star Dogs, a well-known local band, and provides bass and vocals for The Rhythm and Blues Project, where his dynamic musicianship and soulful performances contribute to the band’s electrifying live shows.
With a rich background in multiple genres and a passion for creating and performing music, Brian Jirka remains a driving force in the Northern California music scene.

With a career spanning six decades, Doug Silvera is an experienced guitarist and mandolin player whose passion for music is undeniable. For the past 25 years, he has also showcased his powerful vocal abilities, blending into the rich styles of Blues, Soul, Jazz, Funk, and R&B. Based in Santa Cruz and Calaveras Counties, Doug has played in acclaimed bands such as Lost in the Shuffle Band and West Coast Soul Band, earning a reputation for his expressive playing and deep musicality. From intimate venues to major festival stages, Doug has performed at some of the most celebrated blues events in California including the Sonora Blues Festival, Monterey Blues Festival, and the Central California Blues Festival, Where he continues to impress audiences with his soulful style and rich musical expression.
